This machine forms fan, sunray, accordion and decorative pleats in pre-cut fabric pieces. Common international terms include fan pleating machine, sunray pleating machine, garment pleating machine, skirt pleating machine and piece-goods pleater.
The operator places the prepared garment panel or fabric piece on the worktable, selects the pleating settings and feeds it into the forming section. Mechanical folding and electric heat setting create repeatable pleat patterns while reducing manual marking and folding work.
Pre-cut fabric placement → width and pleat setting → guided feeding → mechanical fold formation → heat setting → pleated-panel removal.
Process boundary: this machine pleats supplied cut pieces; it does not cut garment patterns, sew seams or assemble finished garments. Pleat shape and permanence depend on material composition, thickness, temperature and dwell time. Buyer-supplied sample trials are required before confirming suitability.
